This book, obviously, is for beginners, and is easily accessible for the general reader. No prior knowledge is necessary to understand. This book is heavily illustrated with alchemical drawings from important publications over the past 400 years. There is even a handy section in the back listing books for further reading, alchemy websites worth visiting, etc. Also, be sure to do a search of "Dennis William Hauck" on YouTube for recorded presentations by him.
Loved this book. Great for learning the basics, which may sound easy but it's actually very deep. This book inspired me to continue the study of Hermetic Alchemy, which led to my Kundalini Awakening four months later :)P.S. Dennis Hauck has a great website, too.
You will not be disappointed with this book. Great book on alchemy. Its called a "beginners guide" but much of it is very advanced, but written so that is it easily accessible.

Very well-written and easy to understand I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in Alchemy.
Good book
Covers the history of alchemy and provides vivid explanations of an alchemist's life and purpose. Gives details on the deeper aspects of alchemy and the relationship between an alchemist's personal journey and the journey of transmutation.
The book gave a pretty good introduction to the subject. I enjoyed it very much.There are many typographic mistakes however, like paragraphs repeated one after the other etc. But other than that it was very usefull and I feel I learned a lot from it and sparked my interest in "the field"
