Aspiring entrepreneur who wanted to make the country a greater power. If ever there was a manifesto against monarchy and for republics, this is it! The rulers and family members described in this book are so awesomely evil and depraved that today they would not have been tolerated (I hope and pray!). I learned more creative ways of killing people than I ever wanted to know. Some of these people were sex addicts and absolutely no one in the kingdom was safe from them. Madness tolerated because of royal bloodline? Puh-leeze! Who would want a lunatic deciding what happens to everyone in the country. Evidently, little was understood about heredity. These tales of terror usually end with someone finally realizing that the only way to stop the madness is to imprison and/or kill the royal culprit. This was, I hate to admit, a very entertaining read.

This is an amusing collection of history's strangest rulers, chronologically organized to current times. The only slight drawback is that some of their deeds are really gruesome and not for the squeamish. But fortunately there are more amusingly weird wackos than Count Draculas, so the book never turns too dark.

This was so sad but also an interesting read. I already knew a lot about the cousins marrying cousins and the infant mortality which was possibly due to interbreeding but there were many things I did not know. Certainly, this was an informational book! I recommend it.

This book is for sadistic people who enjoy reading about other sadistic people.

Enjoyed the book. It is a fairly easy read. The beginning was much more interesting then towards the end, but I like reading about earlier times.

This is very interesting read and if you love history you will love these facts about the royals. It's a great book to read when you are free and want to just sit and read and be amused and even shocked at some of the exploits.

Really interesting stuff about kings and queens - very well written indeed and although inevitably very much of the same thing (one mad king is as mad as the next mad queen) it does not bore!

I purchased this book for a relative about to start training. I have over 30 years in the field, having started before there was such a thing as a Phlebotomist. We would go out in the morning for 20+ draws and then some of us would go out again for the patients that were missed (unable to draw). Overfall I think the book is good, it does however go into some areas that phlebotomists do not do. Draw ABG's and collection of CBC's with lambda pipets and isoton. These plus other parts of the book are beneficial in providing knowledge of these processes aref a nice to know thing. I do have issue with the size needles it talks about to use - Any thing less than 21 guage is likely to hemolyze the cells and some of the fancy doodads for neonatal use are interesting - a simple lancet is all you need. Remember using something very small may make you believe you are causing less pain, but that only applies if you have to do it one time. Multiple sticks on a neonates heel or going back to recollet blood because it was hemolyzed is not saving the patient trauma.
