Very well thought out recipes, great tips for newbies to FBC.
Lots of good information here but I'm really disappointed, who publishes a book without a table of contents, index or even page numbers? This is a cookbook, when one uses a cookbook you already have something in mind and you want to skim that category not start at page one and look at ever single recipe. My solution was to sit down one night and using word and their outline feature go through and create my own index but I ask why should I have to do this? Sarah what were you thinking????
I really got a lot out of the Kindle edition of “Freezer Bag Cooking: Adventure Ready Recipes.†There are a lot of really good, easy to make recipes. However, I now tend towards the Paleo/Caveman approach, there a good number of recipe ideas that I can change up a bit to reduce the carb count.I have an older spiral bound Freezer Bag book also by Sarah, so I am happy to have another Freezer bag book with more ideas.Looking forward to her next how to book.The Kindle version I purchased does have a Table of Contents.
Wow....there are lots of amazing recipes in here. So many that sound so delicious that they will likely become regular meals at my house as well as on the trail. And Yes there is a Table of Contents in the Kindle version. Highly recommended!
The recipes are great but good luck finding anything if you're used to a book with an index or page numbers. Also, the book does not have all the recipes that are available online for free.
I made several of the recipes with great results. I have many dehydrator and backpacking recipe books and this is definitely one of my favorites.
Excellent book, was told what to get and how to use it. Lightest weight for what I wanted. I use a titanium cup for my pot , and will probably go with a super fly for a stove.The weight saved more than makes up for the cannister weight.Which I also use for a thermarest bug repellant.
Great read and easy to understand. I am sure it will come in handy and helpful for perparing meals on the go.
Good book. But like most of the type, is heavy on rice/beans.
