I selected this book in large part because it offered the free video course. After the purchase, I learned that the six video series is made accessible to you one-per-day over a six-day period unless you purchase an up-sell option to gain access all at once. The price is $50. I was fine with not paying the additional fee and accessing the information over the daily drip. However, after the first day, the subsequent videos would not play and I was instead prompted to pay the up-sell fee. I sent an e-mail to the "customer service" and never received a reply or any assistance. Given that, I can only surmise that the video course is a mere bait and switch and only works if you up-sell. Given this experience, I would advise that you keep looking for other resource options. I am giving 1 star only because there is no option for no stars.

I'm starting a podcast as a lead/feed/support for my business and this was one of the books I took a peak at via the sample download. I didn't finish reading the sample before I bought the book.Mr. Power is very straightforward in his objectives and the approach moves cleanly along from studio to gear on down to actually getting the podcast out there. You will need to understand how each piece builds on earlier chapters but read the book (more than twice, at least) and your only complaints should be on content and style. And that's something no book can claim to fix.I can't recommend this book highly enough.

This is the best resource I've found for a beginning podcaster's technical education -- just enough technical material (you won't be overwhelmed with tech-talk); solid advice you won't get anywhere else (why podcasting from your car is a good thing--who knew?); and a clear path, start-to-finish, on how to get started in the world of podcasting. This AND a video course and access to the author!?! This book will save you hundreds of hours of research, probably hundreds of dollars on equipment, too. The writing is clear and non-technical--and when it does have to get technical, the author provides clear explanation and introduction to new terms. So far, I've read about five books on beginning podcasting and endured a dozen or so Youtube resources and hundreds of webpages so I can safely say: Read this one first!

David Power' book is structured very well and easy to grasp.The companion "free 15 Day online training course" that comes with the book makes digesting the information delightful.I'm totally delighted with David's work and would tell anyone thinking about Podcasting to start here and save yourself a lot of time in developing the skills you need to go right to it.

Most podcasts aren't exclusively comprised of the host rambling on solo. Podcast hosts often have guests call in to the show, as we all know. While the author adequately covers the technology to make sure that listeners optimally hear the host's voice, he gives zero information on how the voices of guests calling from a remote location wind up on the finished product.Turns out there are 4 major ways, some are simple, some are in-depth, they all involve technology, and the author clearly should have covered this indisputably integral topic. The author even off-handedly refers to guests calling in on Skype, but then does not reference the subject again. So, aspiring podcast, if you want to interview guests who are not on premise, then you better Google it, because this book completely ignores it.What a fatal flaw for a book that otherwise would have been 4 or 5 stars.

David Power does an excellent job in both writing and narrating this book. He is clear, concise and authoritative on his approach. Well defined, and edited. He leaves out all the fluff...he just gives you the information that you need to learn or tells you where to find it. I wish more books where written in this manner. Good job David Power.

I have a blog and was thinking of starting a podcast and this book laid everything out in a clear and concise manner. I will be looking into the video course and re-reading the book as I start my own podcast channel. A must read for anyone thinking of starting a podcast in the future. Highly recommend this book.

This is a pretty straightforward book, so the projects are tables, picture frames, candle holders, and a few strictly decorative items. The techniques section looked familiar to me, it's from another, previous, book, probably one that I had seen in the library. Anyway, the technique section is sufficient to get an adult up and running with mosaicing using broken pottery/ceramics and glass squares.My young daughters thought the projects depicted in the book were universally impressive. So we're going to do a couple of similar mosaics.All in all, good, basic book, perfect for the beginner, or someone looking for a selection of basic mosaic projects.

This is a great little book for beginners with easy to understand basics of mosaics and tools. I refer to this more than any other mosaic book and I am gradually collecting many more books by these authors. Biggs and Hunkin give you the encouragement to try the new and different things. Easy to understand and a great reference.

This book has beautiful color photos and examples of mosaic designs. It has a wide variety of projects. Glad I bought it.

I teach mosaics and this would be the second most popular book. Great photos, simple to advanced ideas and easy to follow instructions.

Poorly written and poorly organized. If you really want to learn all the uses of this Kindle, try some other book.

My humble opinion is this pamphlet is geared more to the younger generation than older folks. I think I need something much more basic as in Kindle For Dummies, if it exists.

Have read several of Jennifer's books. Find them to be useful information. While it is not all new info to me, I do usually pick up a few things I didn't know or short cuts to them. Always love the Alexa extras, sorry but they never get old to me. I suggest you try her helpful, quick, "how to" if she has one on your subject.

This is not a review of the book, which is a classic. It is a review of this edition, which has been put out on Amazon's self-publishing format CreateSpace. The thing that one does not know when purchasing this book is that each page consists of a double column of text. (See photo.) Maybe some people like this, but I don't. The lines of type are too long to be newspaper style but too short to be the length of a line of type in a normal book. I don't really like reading a book like this, thus the low rating. ps I also think it is deceptive of the publisher to not show any of these pages in the "Look Inside" sample that Amazon provides. pps The translator is not named. Seems unprofessional.

A few typos aside, I do not regret for a single minute taking the time to slowly read this book, and think about it. The chapters are very short and numerous, and it is easy to read a little bit at a time. Gandhi has an easy and friendly way of speaking to the reader, and I found myself admiring the memory he displayed, as well as the moral principles he strove to uphold. He is also able to inject a very light touch of humor into the description of some very difficult situations. Before reading this book, I would not have guessed that he had tried to commit suicide as a young man (by taking poisonous seeds), and I was thankful for the frankness with which he expresses his trials and flaws. He called his delving into many aspects of life an "experiment", and he succeeded in making a positive difference on so many lives.

First, I would like to say how much I admire Gandhi. I think he was one of the greatest men of the 20th Century.But, this book was just plain hard to read. The style was more like reading legislation than reading a life story. That probably makes sense, given Gandhi's educational training. This style might work for a short, thoughtful treatise on a specific topic. But, 500+ pages in this style was just too much.I finally did get through the book. I would like to say that it was worth it, to get to know Gandhi better. And, that might be true if this book was the only way to get to know Gandhi, but it's not. There are many other sources to learn about him. I think it would be better to chose one of the others.

This book ends just as Gandhi's life was getting interesting. In the Final chapter he says that there's no reason to discuss the last seven years because the facts are so well-known. Well they aren't well-known to me and frankly that's why I bought this book, to learn from his own hand about the events that ended British rule in India. There is absolutely nothing in this book about that. However I can tell you how difficult it is to find a loom and a splinter and that Gandhi insisted that his robe be 45 cm wide. Honestly it's a lot of discussion of who was in which meeting at which time while he was a lawyer in south Africa and very little about his civil rights fighting especially given the length of the book. If you're interested in Gandhi's leadership of the civil rights and national rights movements in India I'm sure there are much better sources . I would say that about once every 10 pages I found a couple of sentences that were interesting regarding his views on ahimsa but that's about it. Obviously he is one of the great figures in modern society but this book does not really support that or show why .

I have been wanting to read about Gandhi for some time and I noticed this on the Kindle list and started reading it.He has written this in an easily read form and it is mostly as if he is talking to the reader.He covers his life as he saw it and provides the reader with insight as to what moved him to his life of serving.I never knew that he got his start in serving in South Africa.I think this should be required reading for students as it is a wonderful book and not slanted by anyone other than Gandhi himself.I highly recommend it.

Gandhi's story was a bit long-winded, and he talked so self-righteously about himself at times to the point of annoying-ness...some things he talked about (i.e. his diet) I found quite irrelevant. It was interesting to read that he was married at a very young age - I never knew that, and the complexities of that marriage made him seem more real. There were points where I almost felt he looked down on black South Africans, like it was wrong for white South-Africans to treat Indians poorly, but a totally different story all together with how they treated Black people (i.e. one night he was taking a walk down a South African road and was berated by a white man. One of Gandhi's white friends caught this and got mad at the white man for berating Gandhi. Gandhi said something to the effect of 'Oh forgive him, he just thought I was a black man') - this is paraphrased, but you get the just of it.Still, his determination and fight for Indians to be treated equally was inspirational. His peaceful protests are what eventually inspired Martin Luther King and, to a point, Nelson Mandela, fight for the rights of blacks in America (King) and South Africa (Mandela). So for that, and for refusing to accept the racist status quo for his people, Gandhi was an inspiration.

I love historical fiction--especially about the Holocaust and especially when I trust the scholarship behind it. I bought this book after hearing the author on the podcast, "Hebrew Voices." He was articulate and had an deep and thorough grasp of not only the Holocaust and the Cold War, but other aspects of Jewish and world history. Even though I subscribe to the tenet that life it too short to read anything but the classics (or at least best sellers), I thought I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed!The book is a page-turner. I originally planned to have this as my "pool" book -- so I'd always have a good read for a few hours each week at the neighborhood pool, but couldn't do it. I devoured the last half every chance I got. The main characters are endearing and memorable. The cultural and historical details are rich and authentic. The Author's notes and the References at the back of the book show the in-depth research that went into telling this story. Highly recommend this book to book-snobs like me.

We heard Peter Golden speak and immediately bought his book Nothing Is Forgotten. It grabbed my Attention from the start, and kept me reading away to the very end, convinced all the way it was a true story. It was that good and when I realized from what I read in the information that came after, I was sorry it was not a true story. But it was so good, and seemed so true to me that it will always feel as real as a story can be. So thank you Peter Golden for painting g a picture of WW 2, of people from young to. Old involved, for action on the part of so many from young to old, from love to hate, from saving lives To taking lives from Russia to Holland, France, to the U. S. Coast to coast. Highly recommend it to all.

Gripping story right from the beginning. Beautifully written love story which encompasses family history and travels through Russia, Paris and New Jersey. From a Don's Pizza Burger in NJ, to KGB and terror, it's a book I couldn't put down. The characters in this book became real, and I won't ever forget their story. One of the best books I've read in a long time!!

Nothing is Forgotten is the best of Golden's works thus far; it is a total "page turner". Jammed full of excitement, humor, tension and history this books keeps one up late at night as one reads to reach the conclusion. I have recommended it to my friends who enjoy history, suspense or reading about the hidden lives of those we think we know so very well.

The beginning was a little hard, but once the story begins I wanted to know what happened. You get to know the characters and care for them. There are surprises and stories that you know are deeper as the truth can elusive, as can love. This will make a great movie!

Read this novel in one sitting. Didn't really know the links between the Cold War and the Holocaust, or how long it took the world to come to grips with the tragedy. A fantastic read, and a stunning story of the peope who fought.

Peter golden’s book is historical and an engaging story with page turning anticipation and intrigue- emotion for and from the characters. Some of the twists and turns wowed me. I found myself wondering what I would do in each situation- ... the characters were relatable and some of the relationships enviable and real. Having grown up in that time golden made me think back to how I might have acted it reacted. It’s a story I will think about for a long time. A treasure. Sorry I finished it so quickly!

One of the more engaging horse books about with both a complex and heartfelt story balanced beautifully with loads of wonderful riding and the thrill of competitive jumping. There's something you'll instantly love about our narrator who takes us into her world with the immediacy provided by the author's skill and the resent tense. It's very hard to forget any of the characters and I doubt I ever will. Readers of Kate's other books will recognise characters both human and equine as she weaves her tangled web that should be hard to follow but somehow never is. I would recommend this series (more to come!!!) to anyone who loves horses, humans, animals, nature and just plain good story telling with cracking dialogue. An easy five stars.

All of the characters are well developed and despite the cheesy title, this book is fairly original, wonderfully written, and well equestrian-ated. The plot is good, and though heartbreaking at parts, there is a realistic and familiar sense of humor. I have read the book "Dare to Dream" and not only recommend this book to those who enjoyed that one (and vice versa) but also love that the author uses the name Skybeau in this one!!! All of the people/ponies are realistically complex and real. All in all, a great equestrian story for all ye horse lovers like myself.I don't come from New Zealand, but from the UK and this book is wonderful. Jay goes through the same emotions I did when moving to the US, if a bit different (thankfully I came with all my family) and the author describes that part beautifully. The specifics and non specifics of moving from the UK are just brilliant.All in all, GREAT BOOK!!!!!!!

This book is excellent to read and enjoy. The lead changes horses have seems to be the ideal behind the title. A young girl shares her story of growing up with lots of sorrow and joys but her quest of finding her place in life is a heart decision she must make all by herself. She finds out her love of horses is her best choice.

Flying Changes is a must read for anyone who loves horses. It is about finding not the perfect horse but the perfect horse for Jay. Learning to live in a new country, dealing with the loss of her mother and getting to know her father, Jay finally finds her way in a world which isn't always easy. Plenty of show jumping to keep you turning the page. Enjoyed the length of the book too. Usually they are quite short and you feel like you just get to know all the characters and it ends. Flying Changes is twisty and turny and satisfyingly long. Loved it, can't wait for the second one.

This was the first book of Kate's which I read. I couldn't put it down, the plot had enough detail to keep me enthused but not so much as to get repetitive. It felt as though Jay was real, and made me sad when I finished and realised she wasn't real. Overall it was an excellent book, by now I think I have read it 3 times!! Would recommend to anyone and everyone who has even a mild interest in horses.

I enjoyed this book...It was nice to read a story that takes place in the country the author is from. There's too many books written by Europeans but the story takes place in the US. I liked that it was a longer book, although I wonder if it might be too long to keep the attention of a younger reader. The story moved at a good speed and there was a nice mix of warm fuzzies and tear jerking incidents, including one horrible incident that left me angry and wondering why it was necessary to have it. There was still the tired storyline of poor girl vs rich girl that is so prevalent in horse stories but I like that it wasn't a huge part of the plot.What kept me from giving the book more stars was that the word "keen" was used way too much. In one sentence, it was used TWICE! Other descriptive words were overused as well, but not as much as "keen". Regardless, I look forward to reading book 2.

I could not put this book, down!..About horses, but also, about life

This book pulled me for a really well-rounded story, complete with wonderful but down-to-earth characters.... highly recommend Ms Lattey to anyone one of any age.
